This is one of the most valuable lessons, but it is often overlooked. I know this from personal experience. I would be focused on one thing, and then a new idea would catch my attention, and I would want to try it out. This "shiny object syndrome" can be quite discouraging. It took me years to learn how to stay focused on one thing and master it.
