When I started blogging, the skyscraper technique was a huge trend. I would take the 5 top articles for the keyword I wanted to rank, and write an article that contained all the important nformation from those 5 articles. By doing this, I created a comprehensive go-to article that people wanted to read.

I then built backlinks to this article and outranked the competition.

Now, this does not work for blogging anymore, but you can use these technique on other projects… designs, YouTube.
